We're off!

We're off on our journey starting today! We're both quite excited, though we haven't had much time to think about it this week. Jeff had to go to Connecticut from Tuesday through Thursday for a business trip, and Friday was a bit crazy for Jeff at work, too. He had four or five meetings, he had to pack up his desk for moving to another location during our furlough, and he had to take his recently laid off employees out for their farewell lunch. Needless to say, he got home a bit late last night. :)

Michelle hung around home all week taking care of our long list of things to do before we leave. The list seemed to get longer, not shorter for a while there, but eventually everything got done and we're ready to go. We're hoping to do some blogging about the trip while we're over there, so watch this space for photos and trip notes!

i am sorry?! did i just read that one of you was in CT?! WHAT?! could that not have been a joint business trip?! i am mortally offended that one of you was here in MY state and i didn't even know about it! ok. i'm settling down. maybe i'm not mortally offended but am thinking that, man, it would have been awesome if you both could have come and we could have gotten together. i could have met jeff and seen you after...too many years. someday. maybe. you could come visit me...together...?

oh, and i hope you have an amazing trip and can't wait to see the pictures...

Yeah, he was in Hartford visiting Hamilton Sunstrand, probably drove right by your house when they took him out to dinner... As our company wouldn't even spring for a rental car for his trip, I'm guessing another tag-a-long employee wouldn't have gone over so well. We'll make it out there again someday. Or perhaps meet up with you in Colorado sometime?

Im working at Hamilton on the 30th of this month. I have never met either of you only stories from Jackie and this blog and I must admit I was sad to hear one of you was in CT and I didn't get the chance to at least fill your belly with a nice warm home cooked meal. Next time - and the more the merrier I will even feed coworkers :)
